An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Practice for a Finance and Administrative Assistant

Finance and Administrative Assistant

Up to 22.5hrs per week (permanent)

Salary: Based on experience

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working in the NHS, but this not essential. Duties would involve managing daily cash flow, overseeing bank transactions, producing monthly and annual financial reports, bank reconciliations, assisting with payroll and staff pensions, completing annual Year End Accounts, managing invoice and payment processing and assisting the Finance Manager, ordering stock and supplies, managing maintenance contracts for Practice equipment, and assisting the Practice Management Team. This list is not exhaustive.

In addition to these duties the successful candidate would need to have excellent numerical and administrative skills, an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills along with proven IT skills including knowledge of using Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using accountancy software such as SAGE is desirable but not essential. A flexible attitude to work and the ability to work well within a team and independently is required.

An opportunity has arisen within the Practice for an Estates Assistant/Caretaker/Building Manager

Estates Assistant/Handy-person

Up to 8hrs per week (permanent)

Salary: Based on experience

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working within the trades and services sector/industry.

Duties would involve undertaking planned preventative maintenance, repairs, decorating, ensuring the building is compliant with Health & Safety legislation, undertaking minor work on the premises with the use of powered machinery and hand tools. To assist in maintaining the grounds and gardens, with the use of powered machinery and hand tools. Recording of planned preventative maintenance performed to ensure appropriate record keeping and Audit trails. Recording of H&S checks and compliance checks throughout the building. This list is not exhaustive.

Training will be provided for all compliance and checking tasks.
