Up to 30hrs per week (fixed term covering Maternity Leave)
Salary: Based on experience
The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working in the NHS, but this not essential. Duties would involve handling incoming calls for appointments, dealing with patient queries, welcoming patients into the Surgery, processing patient prescription requests, and supporting the Clinical Staff in the general running of the Surgery, this list is not exhaustive.
In addition to these duties the successful candidate would need to have good typing skills, an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills along with proven IT skills including knowledge of using Microsoft programs such as Word and Outlook. A flexible attitude to work and the ability to work well within a team and independently is required. The successful candidate would be expected to be able to cover Reception posts at lunchtimes and late afternoons.
